Porosity Testing using our Compact Test Rig in Marlow – February 2016

Our compact test rig has just finished assessment of the subsurface geology for the purposes of designing a suitable soakaway system at a site in Marlow. The reason for the porosity tests is to ascertain what sort of soakaway, and at what depth it should be installed to. With this compact rig we can access hard to reach areas and carry out testing to depths of up to 15 metres. The great benefit of using this is that you no longer need to have a mini digger excavating a large hole to enable the depth to be reached, and also eliminating the surplus spoil from the excavation which would need to be removed from site in a skip. Using the compact rig we would also eliminate the issue of the inevitable settlement in the excavations over the following months.
