Porosity Testing using our Compact Test Rig in Marlow – February 2016
Mineral Survey boreholes were drilled for a Carstone quarry in Norfolk. The owners of the quarry wished to investigate the economic viability of purchasing neighbouring agricultural land and extending their quarry. They called us in to undertake the drilling of several shallow boreholes to investigate the depth and thickness of the Carstone deposit. Our team mobilised to site and 6 rotary holes were drilled through the base of Carstone and into the Clay below. These holes were between 12 – 20m in depth and the spoil samples for the complete sandstone sequence prepared for specialist sampling.
